General Manager (GM)Position Overview:
The GM is a key leadership role at our prestigious Club, responsible for overseeing comprehensive operations, including clubhouse management, golf and grounds maintenance, racquet sports, and pool facilities. The GM will develop, present, and execute annual budgets and strategic goals, ensuring alignment with the Clubs vision. Responsibilities:
Club Operations and Member
Experience:
Lead and actively engage with members and staff, ensuring high visibility and approachability. Champion a culture of first-class service throughout all areas of the Club. Address member and guest feedback promptly, striving for continuous improvement in service quality and facility presentation. Team Leadership and Development:
Oversee the recruitment, training, and development of Club personnel, prioritizing high service standards, especially in Clubhouse and Food & Beverage operations. Mentor and support the professional growth of direct reports, fostering a collaborative team environment. Maintain a positive and healthy work culture, ensuring a safe and harassment-free environment. Financial and Operational Management:
Collaborate with Department Heads and ownership in preparing and managing annual operating and capital budgets. Monitor budget performance, taking corrective actions as needed to achieve financial goals. Provide guidance on fiscal controls, operational guidelines, and labor cost management. Strategic Planning and Communication:
Lead the development and implementation of long-range strategic plans and annual business goals. Facilitate effective communication across departments, ensuring timely coordination of club activities. Act as a liaison with Club committees, contributing to policy development and club enhancements. Candidate
Qualifications:
A minimum of 3-5 years of leadership experience in a GM, or similar role, preferably within a high-quality private country club or hospitality setting. Proven track record of operational excellence and member-focused service delivery. Bachelors Degree in Hospitality or Business Management preferred; significant hospitality experience may be considered in lieu of degree. Relevant hospitality industry certifications demonstrating commitment to professional development are desirable. Salary and
